Job Highlights

Tree Climbing

Tree climbing only done on an as-needed basis. Most of work is done on ground, roof or similar. Typical days have one tree climb/install for a total of 2hrs in tree. 

Device installation

A majority of the job with entail installing or maintaining devices. Applicant must be able to install equipment in various environments. 

Basic Networking Knowledge

Knowledge of network protocols and how to troubleshoot. Training will be provided, but existing experience is preferred.

Starting Hourly $16/hr

Hourly is dependent on experience. Starting pay is the training pay rate which will increase upon completion of training. 

Overview:

As the ideal candidate you must be able to work well independently and with others. You should be able to work in all types of weather conditions. You must have a clean and valid CA driver’s license and must be able to pass a background and drug check. You must exhibit excellent customer service skills, and have the ability to be flexible in your work schedule. The job opening is full time with expected hours of Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm. We can be flexible with scheduling depending on your needs but we prefer full time.

Requirements and tasks to be performed include but are not limited to:

  • Exemplary customer service and strong communications skills.
  • Following of safety guidelines.
  • Ability to convey information in a concise and complete manner.
  • Installation of equipment in various environments including trees and towers.
  • Ability to mount equipment at various heights, to exterior and interior of buildings, and in trees without damaging roof or other property.
  • Comfortable working at various heights using ladders.
  • Ability to attach cabling to many different surfaces such as wood, plastic, metal and trees.
  • Installation and testing of Cat5/5e/6 network cable.
  • Installation of basic networking equipment such as routers, switches, or WiFi.
  • Basic carpentry know-how, i.e. an understanding of how homes are constructed.
  • Ability to stay organized while transitioning between activities, sometimes rapidly.
  • Perform duties in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Adaptive learning capabilities for a constantly evolving industry.

Preferred but not required skills:

  • Comfortable with Windows and MAC platforms.
  • Working knowledge of basic network connections (Ethernet, Wireless).
  • Use and set up Internet and Email Applications (Explorer, Firefox, Mail).
  • Ability to operate basic computer control panel network settings.
  • Computer networking and IP subnet knowledge.
  • VPN Connectivity knowledge.
  • Familiarity with non-802.11 wireless technologies.
  • Electrical wiring experience
